CSEA-SEIU Endorses Larson for Congress

During his fiscal crisis in Hartford, Bronin attempted to end collective bargaining, demanded millions in concessions, and laid off municipal employees as he asked the state for a bailout

Today, the CSEA-SEIU Local 2001 joined twenty-five other unions and the Working Families Party in endorsing John Larson for Congress, citing his consistent support of unions and working families.

CSEA-SEIU Local 2001 is the latest large and influential union in the First District and across Connecticut to endorse Larson. It represents over 22,000 Connecticut workers, from state agency staff to municipal employees to private-sector workers.

“I’m proud to stand with CSEA, and honored to have earned their support,” said Congressman Larson. “CSEA workers are the backbone of this district and this state. I will never stop fighting for their right to organize, to have power at the negotiating table, to take home a good paycheck and know the benefits they’ve earned will be there for them.”

The contrast in this race is stark:

  • Twenty-six labor unions and the Working Families Party have rallied behind Congressman Larson, citing his unrelenting fight for the working families of the First District. Larson received a 100% voting score from AFL-CIO in 2025, and holds a 98% lifetime score.
